1. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, telephone number where required, account details, profile information, skills, projects, learning activity, assessment submissions and results, credentials, opportunity applications, business or organization information, support messages and referral activity.
We may also collect technical information needed to operate and secure ADE, such as IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, security events, page activity and diagnostic data.
2. Payments and billing information
When you purchase an ADE subscription, course or other paid digital service, the selected payment processor may receive information necessary to complete the transaction, such as your name, email, telephone number, order description, amount, currency and transaction identifiers.
Full payment-card details are handled by the payment processor, such as PayHere when it is offered at checkout, and are not intended to be stored in ADE databases. ADE may retain payment status, provider transaction identifiers, plan information, invoice or refund metadata and other records needed for account access, support, accounting, fraud prevention and reconciliation.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide digital learning and tools, calculate progress and results, issue and verify credentials, operate professional profiles, process opportunity applications, support business workspaces, administer subscriptions and payments, attribute referrals, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, improve ADE and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
4. Public professional information
ADE professional profiles are private unless you choose to publish them. When published, profile fields you intentionally make public, public projects, skills and eligible verification or credential evidence may be visible to employers, businesses and other visitors.
Private application contact details, private assessment submissions, billing information and private learning resources are not automatically published as professional evidence.
5. Service providers and information sharing
ADE relies on service providers to operate the platform. These may include Supabase for application data and authentication, Vercel for hosting and optional analytics, email and support providers, and payment processors such as PayHere when enabled. We share only information reasonably necessary for those providers to perform their services.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to a valid legal process, to protect ADE or its users, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a legitimate business reorganization subject to applicable safeguards. ADE does not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. Cookies, analytics and referral attribution
ADE uses essential browser technologies for authentication, security and platform operation. When you arrive through an ADE referral link, ADE may store a referral identifier for up to 30 days so eligible sign-ups, applications or paid conversions can be attributed while applying self-referral and fraud controls.
ADE may use privacy-focused web analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the product. Sensitive query parameters are removed before analytics events are sent. You can disable ADE analytics in this browser below.
7. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ADE, maintain account, credential, payment, tax, refund and audit records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
We use access controls, authentication safeguards, row-level database security, role checks, signed provider events and other technical and organizational measures. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export personal information, or object to certain processing. Some information may need to be retained where required for payment records, fraud prevention, credentials, contractual obligations, dispute resolution or law.
9. International processing
ADE is designed for global use. Our infrastructure and service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for such processing.
10. Children and young users
ADE is not intended to be used in violation of local age or parental-consent requirements. Where a user is below the age at which they can independently consent to an online service in their jurisdiction, appropriate parent or guardian permission must be obtained.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as ADE, our payment methods or legal requirements evolve. The latest version will be published on this page with its revision date.
